Googled for some feedback on Nisus and got this blog. I also downloaded version 2.1.1 to try out, and was likewise disappointed.

I switched to the Mac about a year ago, and have been using Word (I've been using Word for some 20 years! so I know it quite well, warts and all) which I got cheap through the university, but I really want something better -- something more like my favorite all-time word processor from my DOS days, XyWrite. Anyway, I had sort of followed Nisus through the years, and I downloaded the HTML of your book. THAT Nisus sounds really cool, sort of like a Mac version of XyWrite. Regretably, The OS X version is not the same product, having a different origin. Right now it's a good start and a lot of promises for future versions. Vaporware?

I'm also trying out Mellel. Have you tried that? It seems quite nice, and the developers seem to know what they're doing, very responsive people who created a great program already in only three years!
